CleanEats — NYC Health Grades (“CleanEats”, “the app”) is developed and operated by Internection, LLC. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

Data We Collect

CleanEats collects anonymous usage analytics through TelemetryDeck. This includes events such as app launches, screen views, and feature interactions. This data is anonymized before transmission and cannot be linked to you or your device. No personally identifiable information is collected.

We do not collect your name, email, or contact information
We do not collect or transmit your location or GPS coordinates
We do not collect your search queries
We do not sell data to third parties
We do not use data for advertising or tracking purposes

Location

CleanEats requests access to your device’s location solely to show nearby restaurants on the map. Your location is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

In-App Purchases

CleanEats offers optional in-app purchases (support tips) processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment information.

Restaurant Data

All restaurant inspection data is sourced from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) Restaurant Inspection Results dataset, available as public domain via NYC Open Data (dataset 43nn-pn8j).

Children’s Privacy

CleanEats does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
